Health and Wellness in the New Year
There are some proactive strategies that can help improve health in the New Year. First the best and easiest way to be proactive about your health is to change your eating habits. A healthy eating plan that helps you manage your weight includes a variety of foods you may not have considered. If "healthy eating" makes you think about the foods you can't have, try refocusing on all the new foods you can eat. Try something new like fresh vegetables added to your favorite meal, even a new twist on an old favorite. If your recipe calls for something to be fried or breaded, use a different method such as grilling or baking. Healthy eating is all about balance. You can enjoy your favorite foods even if they are high in calories, fat or added sugars. The key is eating them only once in a while, and balancing them out with healthier foods and more physical activity.

Here are a few tips to help your sleep quality:
Go to bed at the same time each night, and try to wake up at the same time each morning.
Try to sleep in a quiet, dark and relaxing enviroment.
Make your bed comfortable and try to use it only for sleeping, not for other activities such as watching TV, reading or listening to music.
One more small way to improve your health in 2015 is to wash your hands regularly!
Wash your hands often to prevent the spread of infection and illness. If soap and water are not available, use a alcohol based hand sanitizer.
